Japanese sheet pile exports in April down by 62pct MoM

According to announced trade statistics from the Ministry of Finance, Japan's customs cleared exports of sheet piles totaled 13,500 tonnes in April 2010, down by 62.6% MoM and also down by 31.1% YoY, when their FOB values averaged JPY 58,000 per tonne, up by JPY 5,000 MoM.

In the breakdown by main destinations, South Korea accounted for 1,500 tonnes; China 2,000 tonnes; Hong Kong 1,800 tonnes; Vietnam 1,600 tonnes; Singapore 1,600 tonnes; the UAE 2,500 tonnes and the UK 1,500 tonnes.
